The molten iron from the blast furnace comes out from the iron outlet of the blast furnace and flows into the molten iron bale through the main ditch, iron ditch and swinging nozzle of the iron yard. At the junction of the main ditch and the iron ditch, there is a skimmer. Under the skimmer, the molten iron flows into the iron ditch. The slag floating on the top of the molten iron is blocked by the skimmer and enters the slag ditch.For medium and large blast furnaces, aluminum-silicon carbide castable is generally used.
It is worth pointing out that quick-dry castable has been developed in recent years for rapid filling of iron field with only one groove. The appearance of self-flowing castable brings more convenience to the casting construction. In particular, the emergence of wet injection castable combines equipment, construction technology and material technology. The consumption of refractories is further reduced, the iron content is also further increased, the iron groove material containing graphite must improve the corrosion resistance and service life. It is relatively easy to develop graphite ramming materials. It has been proved that the graphite containing ramming material has obtained a very good result in the small and medium-sized high aluminium cast iron ditch. Therefore, in order to improve the service life and reduce the consumption, it is necessary to further carry out the work of carbon-containing ramming materials, especially the development of high-carbon castable materials. In the field of iron insulation, processing permanent layer with the corresponding insulation brick and fiber products, now between the working layer and the insulation layer has appeared dry ramming material, which has played a good role in the protection of warmth and prevent iron leakage to improve safety.
