The working environment of soaking pit lining is as follows :(1) it can withstand high temperature for a long time; (2) Suffer from ingot wear and the impact of charging machine clamp; The furnace cover is often opened and closed, and the furnace lining is subjected to rapid cooling and rapid heating.
In the past, the lining of soaking pit was mainly built with clay brick, high aluminum brick and silicon brick, and the working layer at the bottom of the furnace and the bottom of the furnace wall was eroded by slag, so magnesia-chrome brick and magnesia-brick were generally chosen. At present, amorphous refractory or prefabricated blocks are mainly used in soaking pits. High alumina mullite castable containing stainless steel fibers is used primarily in amorphous refractories. Furnace cover lining is made of high strength lightweight castable. In short, in the soaking pit, the overall casting furnace wall, insulation lining with light insulation castable and refractory fiber products are its development trend. In terms of furnace wall castables, more and more aluminum-silicon castables with Al2O3 of 50%~75% of low cement and ultra-low cement are used. It is worth pointing out that the application of fiber spray coating in the heat treatment furnace is worth paying attention to. It plays a very good role in convenient construction, heat preservation and repair, and it is a development direction.
