Runner brick

Runner brick refers to the hollow firebrick which is connected with steel brick and steel ingot mold in the groove of ingot slab, commonly known as soup brick. In order to reduce the resistance in the process of liquid steel flow and prevent steel leakage, the inner hole of runner brick is required to be smooth, with regular appearance and tight joints. As the channel of molten steel entering ingot mold from ladle, runner brick plays a very important role in casting process. On the one hand, the runner brick should be able to ensure the safety of the casting process, without steel leakage and other accidents caused by the burst of the soup road brick, so as to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the casting ingot; On the other hand, it is necessary to have good anti-erosion and anti-melting performance, so as not to produce resistant material, melting damage and spalling during casting, and avoid reducing inorganic non-metallic inclusion in the steel products after the refractory material enters the molten steel, so as to ensure the quality of the steel products.

Runner brick is usually used in bottom casting, because it comes into direct contact with molten metal, and is subject to scouring and chemical action, which seriously affects the quality of casting. Flow is usually in the bottom casting JiaoGangFa steel brick, when molten steel from the steel water tank to the inflow of ingot mould in the process, must through the runner brick, because the temperature of molten steel is higher, the convection steel brick impact effect, thus cause the local loss of runner brick structure, at the same time, molten steel flow and steel brick interact, reaction product inclusions in molten steel, affect the quality of ingot.

Runner brick is widely used in all kinds of steel (including stainless steel, alloy steel) plate casting steel. The product has high fire resistance, good crack resistance and strong erosion resistance. Regular appearance, smooth running, precise size, complete variety. The production of steel in ladle ladle lining brick, arc lining brick, fired and non-fired plug head brick, casting mouth brick, block brick and sleeve brick.
