Classification of Refractory Properties

There is a great difference from our country. The division of refractory properties in our country, different books, is also slightly different. Dr. Jiang Mingxue, professor of Xi'an University of Architectural Science and Technology, has divided the internal properties of refractories in detail, as shown in the table below.

The author believes that the division of refractory properties by Dr. Jiang Mingxue is more reasonable and comprehensive, so the content of the performance part of this chapter is basically written with reference to this division, in which the process performance part is mainly introduced as a section on the operating properties of amorphous refractories, and the contents on microstructure are introduced separately, and some properties that are not commonly used for refractories are not introduced. Some performance adjustments have been made. The adjusted refractory properties are shown in the table below.
