Continuous Casting Refractories

Continuous casting steel is called continuous casting ,it is a kind of process which molten steel passes through the water-cooled crystallizer continuously, pulled out from the outlet below the crystallizer after solidification , and all solidified after being cooled by water spraying, and then cut into blanks.
Refractories for continuous casting is very important in continuous casting which is named functional refractory because it not only has the general refractory properties but also can purify the molten steel, improve the quality of the steel, stabilize the temperature and composition of the molten steel, and control and regulate the flow of molten steel .
Main features of refractories for continuous are high performance, high precision and high technology and they must be safe and reliable because of harsh service conditions.
