1) Refractory for mixing iron furnace
Mixing furnace is an equipment for holding molten iron. The mixed iron furnace can keep the uniformity of molten iron composition and temperature. It can make a good connection and balance between the small molten iron bale and the large steelmaking furnace. The mixer is barrel - shaped. The lining thickness of mixed iron furnace is generally 600~800mm. A layer of 10~20mm thick asbestos board, refractory felt and silica-calcium board is laid close to the metal shell, and then a layer of 113~230mm thick clay insulating brick or bleached bead brick is laid. The working layer is generally made of clay brick and high aluminum brick. The working layer of the inner lining of the alkaline mixed iron furnace is usually built with ordinary magnesia bricks. Magnesia bricks are used for the parts that do not touch the molten iron, and high alumina bricks are used for some other parts. The working layer of acid mixed iron furnace is usually built with silicon brick. In recent years, the development of amorphous has been rapid, many mixed iron furnaces began to use Al2O3-SIC -C castable, and very ideal results have been obtained. The service life of mixed iron furnace is longer, less than 3 months, more than 2~3 years above.
2) Refractory for iron water tank
Iron water tank is the vessel for transporting molten iron to the converter and electric furnace. Generally at 1300~1450℃. When the molten iron is contained, the lining is subjected to the impact of high temperature molten iron, which results in erosion wear and strong thermal shock and great thermal stress. Chemical erosion by molten iron and slag and oxidation by air during the holding of molten iron; When pouring molten iron, it is scoured by molten iron and oxidized by high temperature. After the iron tank is emptied, the temperature drops sharply, causing the lining to cool sharply, and exposing the lining to the air and oxidizing. In this repeated process, the lining is repeatedly subjected to rapid cooling and rapid heat and slag iron erosion as well as air oxidation and iron scouring. Therefore, should choose thermal shock resistance, anti - erosion and anti - oxidation refractory. The service life of standard clay brick is also above 200 times. The service life of high alumina brick will reach 300~400 furnaces. At present, the use of clay bricks, now also useful high aluminum silicon carbide bricks, its service life can be in 500~600 furnace; Al2O3-SiC-C brick is also used, the service life can reach more than 800 times, through repair and maintenance, the service life can reach more than 1500 furnaces. At present, there is an obvious trend towards the development of high-grade refractory materials, such as the proportion of Al2O3-SiC-C castable and Al2O3-SiC-C brick is increasing.
