Refractories for Coke Oven
The partition wall of coke oven uses silicon brick.refractory materials with high temperature strength and wear resistance should also be selected to adapt to the working environment at the bottom of the carbonization chamber, silicon bricks is still a good choice.
The furnace heads at both ends of the carbonization chamber suddenly change in temperature when the furnace door is opened, and drop from 1000 ℃ to below 500 ℃, which exceeds the temperature limit of the volume stability of the silicon brick. Therefore, the furnace head should be selected to have good thermal shock resistance and load softening temperature. Higher high-aluminum products are currently mainly made of high-quality high-alumina bricks, sillimanite bricks and andalusite bricks.
Inclined chute: The chute connects the combustion chamber and the regenerator. The material is required to resist thermal stress, and the brick structure is stable. Clay bricks for small coke ovens and silicon bricks are generally used for large coke ovens.
Regenerator: The temperature difference between the cold and hot side walls is large, and high-quality clay bricks are used. In order to maintain the integrity, some silicon bricks are also used, and the outer side is protected by clay bricks. Clay bricks for regenerators are generally made of clay bricks.
