Shaft Kiln

Shaft kiln is one of equipment for calcining raw materials which is generally used for calcining dolomite、clay and bauxite.
The kiln is a tubular kiln that the material are added from the kiln top and discharged from the bottom. The air needed for combustion is sent into the bottom of the kiln and the products of combustion are discharged from kiln top. That’ s why shaft kiln belongs to counterflow thermal equipment.
Materials passed the shaft kiln through three parts, preheating zone, burning zone and cooling zone. It is very important to choose inner lining of the shaft kiln because burning zone is easily damaged.
Generally, the burning temperature of clay shaft kiln is about 1400℃， so clay bricks can be used for inner lining.
High bauxite shaft kiln is suitable to use high alumina brick for burning zone and cooling zone.
