Requirements of Refractories for HBS

Hot blast heater is a piece of thermal equipment for cycling heating and heat release in periodicity. Nowadays, according to the service condition，the requirements of heat storage materials for hot blast heater are followings：
1） Good volume stability is important because it means the regenerative brick and masonry body would not expand or contract at high temperature because of inside phase structure changes.
2） Good creep resistance under high-temperature load .The service time of hot blast heater is more than 20 years and the refractory weight causes high load so refractories need to have a good creep resistance. Silica brick has very good creep behavior at high temperature and next is high alumina products which similar to mullite.
