Low-cement Castable

Low cement castable is calcium aluminate cement combined refractory castable with CaO less than 2.5% .Another version, the addition amount of calcium aluminate cement is only 1/2-1/3 compared with common calcium aluminate cement castable.
Castable with 1.0-2.5% CaO called low cement castable and less than 1.0% CaO named Ultra-low cement castable.
The difference between low cement castable and common refractory castable is,the binder phase use submicron powder which is the same as or similar to  main material of castable,instead of part of calcium aluminate cement. water reducing agent and coagulant are added.
Low cement and ultra-low cement castable have the following advantages:
1, Better refractoriness,good high-temperature strength and good slag resistance.
2, Low porosity and high bulk density because of it need just 1/2-1/3 water compared with common castable.
3, Fewer hydrate so the strength would not be affected when baking.on the contrary,the strength will become higher with the increase of temperature.
