Powder: also known as fine powder, refers to the particle size less than 0.088mm, it is one of the matrix of amorphous refractory structure, plays the role of connecting aggregate at high temperature, so as to obtain physical mechanics and service performance. Fine powder can fill the pores of aggregate, give or change the performance and density of amorphous refractory.
Binder: refers to the material that can make refractory aggregate and powder cement together to show a certain strength. Binder is an important component of amorphous refractory, available inorganic, organic and composite materials, the main varieties of cement, glass, phosphoric acid, sol, resin, soft clay and some ultra-fine powder.
Additive: a material that strengthens the action of the binder and improves the properties of the matrix phase. It is refractory aggregate, refractory powder and binder composition of the basic components of the material, so also called admixture. Such as plasticizer, coagulant, retarder, sintering agent, expansion agent, etc.
In addition, the very fine part of the powder is specified: the particle size less than 5 m is micro powder; The particles less than 1 m in size are ultrafine powders.
