Effects of Material on Water-free Tap Hole Clay

The raw materials for the preparation of tap hole clay  directly affect the quality, which is embodied in the following three aspects:
1）The chemical composition of the raw material. The raw materials used are one of the factors that affect the quality of tap hole clay. Generally, high quality tap hole clay requires high content of main components and low content of impurities.
2）The particle size composition of raw materials is also a major factor affecting the quality of tap hole clay. Generally the common practice is to locate the maximum critical particle size of raw materials at 3mm. The smaller the particle size, the more conducive for tap hole clay  to sintering.
3）More water,  lower compression strength after firing at 1500℃ .
