Material Property of ASC Castable

1)Ganister sand(silicon): SiC will be produced by the added silicon and C from the material. SiC shows two different states in the bulk material.
One state is very tiny SiC whisker whose diameter is 0.1-0.5μm, which improves the high-temperature strength and connects particles with reinforcing property. The other state is cotton-shaped SiC as helminth detail, which improves the microstructure of castable, enhances oxidation resistance and slag resistance by forming SiC-bonded Al2O3-SiC-C material.
2) Organic fibre: Organic fibre can prevent castable from cracking during bake because the exhaust air ducts were left after organic fibre loss on ignition, which is benefit for discharge water from castable.
3) Sodium polyphosphate: Sodium polyphosphate can improve the bulk density, reduce the porosity of the material, enhance strength and improve construction performance because of its Water reduction effect. Selected sodium polyphosphate usually are sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium hexametaphosphate.
