Specimen Preparation of Refractories
After the sample is sent to the laboratory, a certain number of sample blocks are usually intercepted or knocked out from each sample to be tested, and impurities such as the skin of the sample that may contaminate the sample are removed. When the samples are tested for compressive strength at the same time, the broken samples after the pressure test are usually taken, and the intercepted samples or the crushed samples after the pressure test are crushed by the laboratory mini-jaw crusher.
The sample to be tested is generally cut in half, with one part used as sample block preparation and the other as retention sample.
The sample should be prepared to avoid cracks, karst caves and other defects, and the size and specification should meet the requirements of relevant inspection items.
